Pire encore, c\u2019est dans une des rares zones naturelles du sud-est d\u2019Atlanta que les autorit\u00e9s bourgeoises locales ont d\u00e9cid\u00e9 d\u2019imposer ce camp. Malgr\u00e9 les violences r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9es, les menaces, le harc\u00e8lement juridique et les arrestations abusives, le nombre de militant\u00b7es sur place n\u2019a cess\u00e9 d\u2019augmenter depuis d\u00e9cembre. Leur courage est d\u2019autant plus notable qu\u2019on conna\u00eet la g\u00e2chette facile de la police yankee. Ces militant\u00b7e\u00b7s r\u00e9clament de la police qu\u2019ils cessent d\u2019attaquer si lourdement arm\u00e9s afin d\u2019\u00e9viter les morts inutiles&#8230; Le 18 janvier, Manuel Teran, un infirmier de 29 ans, a ainsi \u00e9t\u00e9 abattu par balle lors d\u2019une attaque de la police.
